Call to silence an open-air theatre,  that is active for a few days a year, in the hills of Volterra … Place thousands of armchairs on the terraces, while on a scenic stage, we meet to sing and play together with artist friends … And the next day , sounds, smells and silences of the open countryside come back protagonists …

The Teatro del Silenzio in Lajatico was a bet. The alchemy of a natural stage that turns exceptionally into the limelight, and then returns to a basin returned to the rural landscape. A challenge that I faced by believing immediately, with all of myself, in the desire to offer something new and genuine.

The Teatro del Silenzio represents an opportunity to introduce an international audience to this wonderful green and gray land, a triumph of smells and silence.

This appointment allows me to receive, practically “at home”, many artist friends, celebrating together the beauty of music and the landscape, in a unique natural stage that is lying on a slope that admires the Etruscan profile of Volterra  …  I repeat it’s an event  for  spirit and senses.

Here, over the years, colleagues from very different expressive universes have alternated alongside me. And everyone has experienced, amazed, the magical atmosphere, celebrating the place with their talent. A sort of “Woodstock of bel canto” (as I once defined it), open to the most diverse artistic experiences.
